The recent weeks have seen a lot of interesting machinery being launched from Asia to the markets all over the world. A very noteworthy business deal had taken place between the CNH Industrial and the Sumitomo Construction Machinery that has showcased some of the finest construction equipment in the modern markets. There have been a number of good machines that have the potential to revolutionize the construction energy. Some of the most interesting new developments will be discussed in the following lines
One of the best equipment that has been found has come from Korea. It is the maiden European unit of what is known as the Hyundai R 430-9A. It is an excavator of forty three tons. It is the new version that comes between the 39 tons and 48 tons Hyundai range. The very first unit of this model was bought by Finland. It was sold by Suomen Telakone Oy. The quarry company that bought the machine is called Murskaus Ramo and Karen Oy. The machine has a breakout force of 20.411 kg. The equipment comes with a Cummins QSL9 Tier Interim/Stage IIIB engine.
Another excellent equipment that has hit the market is the LiuGong 925E. The machine comes with the operating weight of about twenty two tons. It is a huge digging depth of about 6595 mm. the equipment gets its power from the 6.7 liter engine of Stage IIB Cummins. There are six models of this brand that you can choose from. They are Fine, Power, Economy, Attachment, Breaker and Lifting. The machine also comes with automatic shift or two speeds which allows them to go at a very fast speed during the normal conditions. At the same time, it can also run slow when you are driving it on grounds that are tricky.
The Kobelco of Japan has made its presence felt all over the international markets owing to the alliance with the CNH. The company has launched some excellent machines in the last few years. Some of the best of these products are the compact excavators. The most common of them are the single tonner. The new SK27SR, SK35SR and the SK30R are some of the newer developments from the company that have become quite poplar in the international market. A five tonner excavating machine is also to be expected in the markets very soon by this company.

The year 2014 has been a big pain for all the heavy equipment manufacturing companies. They were all left complaining about slow growth rate and decline in the sales volume. Due to unrest in the Middle East and other parts of the globe, customers were reluctant to make further purchases. Another reason that adds to the misery is delay in starting a project. Due to many reasons, projects are unable to take off and that results in decline in the demand for heavy equipment. Therefore, it also does not make any sense to produce innovative machine as it makes no difference in a stagnant market. Like all other companies, Hyundai is also going through the same rough phase and is struggling hard to come out of it. The think tankers are working hard to find a solution to this issue and are also waiting for the market to correct. If the issues in the Middle East are put to rest, then things might start catching speed from there. However, that is just a matter of some time and needs patience. It is therefore important for companies to find an alternative and check other potential markets rather than simply sticking to countries that are of not much importance for the time being.
Having said that, it does not imply that construction equipment manufacturing companies should simply wind up their businesses from such countries. They can reduce their labor force and ensure that they do not end up spending their capital in units that may not yield much to them. If we check the last few years’ performance of Hyundai, we find that there has been a consistent fall in their sales volume. It is simply not picking up. In this way, they are only lowering their performance bar and are expecting that it will get to see some green pasture sooner.
Hyundai is in no mood to continue with its sick units or the units that are not performing. The year 2015 will be the year of corrections for them. They have to identify the units that is not performing and then also need to check the possibility of it remaining in that condition for the next few months. If they are convinced that there are no signs of revival, then it will be prudent to close such units and save the company from incurring further financial loses. The next thing that they can do is lay off few employees from units that are performing but not as per the company’s projections. It makes no sense to have a workforce that is not delivering. Other than this, they can also move their back office staff to sales department or can cross train them to perform duties at various levels.
Cross training people will keep the resources intact and will also enable them to perform various duties at different situations. By following few simple things can bring them back in business. However, for the time being the ground situation is grim and it will bounce back only if corrective actions are taken.
After the manufacturing of the latest excavators in Asia and its landing in the global market, a friendly business deal has smacked between CNH industrial and Sumitomo Construction Machinery.
Korea was the first country to evolve Hyundai R430LC-9A, which is a European unit. It was an excavator of class crawler type whose weight is 43 tonnes. It perfectly bridged the wide gap in the gamut of Hyundai beginning from 38 tonne R380LC-9A to 48 tonne R480LC-9A.
A critical study on Asian Excavators
Finland was the country which purchased the first unit of excavator from Soumen Telakone and is now able to dig out the heavy rocks with ease, as the getaway force of the equipment is 20,411 kg. The Cummins QSL9-Tier4 Interim/Stage IIIB engine of R430LC-9A provides a measured power of 231kw to give out. The functional weight of 922E excavator is approx.22 tonnes with a digging capability of 6595mm. The weight of 925E is 25.5 tonnes and can make an underground passage of 6925mm. The excavator 630E weighs 31.3 tonnes whose highest depth of digging is 7300mm.
Construction experts prefer 922E to 922LC because the former has 8% more fuel efficiency and can dig grounds at least 5% better than the later one. Liu Gong has designed these machines with six working modes namely Fine, Power, Lifting, Breaker, Attachment and Economy. These excavators also contain automatic fluctuation of two-way velocity which enables the operators to switch to fast mode in normal ground conditions and slow mode when the equipment is working on rocky surface.
The new excavators are installed with Yanmar engines along with integrated Flow Pump System. This integrated pump system makes use of the technology of triple-oil pump for constant travel, enhancing the performance of digging and loading. Apart from these, the other exciting characteristics are the inclusion of a perfectly designed dozer blade to minimize the over-spill while levelling and a sound balanced operation for digging along the wall boundaries and trenches.
